A 35-year-old truck driver was killed at about 1:51 p.m. Wednesday, northwest of Eastwood Towne Center, while operating a Crandall Brothers Trucking vehicle, according to a Lansing Township Police Department release.A second truck working nearby shifted, causing its dump trailer to roll sideways into the Crandall Brothers truck cab. The worker, from Corunna, Mich., was pronounced dead at the scene.The names of the drivers are not being released.Fake leather furniture was stolen from the Student Services Building between May 12-16. An employee in the building reported a donated $20 reclining chair, a $10 ottoman and a $5 beanbag chair stolen from a locked room, MSU Police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.When the employee returned May 16, the room was still locked, but the furniture was missing. The incident is still under investigation, McGlothian-Taylor said. A 26-year-old student reported credit fraud after receiving a bill for $371.47 on her account from a company she never heard of, McGlothian-Taylor said.The credit account service informed the student her name had been used to open the account and two transactions - one from Wal-Mart and the other from OfficeMax - occurred under her name, McGlothian-Taylor said.
