More than 20 vehicles parked at the Club Meridian Apartment complex were damaged Tuesday by a BB gun, a Meridian Township police news release said. There was $6,000 worth of damage to the windows and bodies of the vehicles. A witness identified three men driving a small-sized gray or silver Toyota or Nissan vehicle as possible suspects, according to the release. The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Meridian Township Police Department at (517) 853-4800 or Crime Stoppers at (517) 483-STOP.A frustrated 20-year-old male student took his rage out on the Abbot Hall front desk window by throwing a vacuum cleaner through the locked frame, causing $100 worth of damage, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student told police he was frustrated because he couldn't return the vacuum. The incident occurred between 9:20-9:22 a.m. Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The case will be handled by the Judicial Affairs in the Department of Student Life, McGlothian-Taylor said.About $1,150 in items were stolen from a 25-year-old female student in the Chemistry Building between 3-4:20 p.m. Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student reported a $1,100 Dell Inspiron laptop and $50 LG cell phone missing after she left her office to go to a meeting. Upon returning to the office, which she shared with other graduate students, she found the items missing. The student said the office door is usually left unlocked, McGlothian-Taylor said.
