About 7 pounds of marijuana and a large amount of money were found in a college student's East Lansing home Tuesday, a Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad news release said. The East Lansing Police Department and the East Lansing Special Response Team assisted the narcotics squad, which received a search warrant for the home after investigators were told a student was selling marijuana there.MSU police found two knives with 6-inch blades in a Campbell Hall dorm room after receiving a call referencing the smell of marijuana in the hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The officers were given permission by the 19-year-old male student who lived in the room to search his desk for marijuana. The officer found the knives in the desk. MSU ordinance prohibits weapons from being on campus, McGlothian-Taylor said.Laura Misjak
