A 30-year-old male student was arrested Friday after becoming physically aggressive with a 32-year-old female student at Spartan Village, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The incident, which occurred between 5-5:50 p.m., began when the two students, who used to date, were in the man's car looking at photographs he had taken. The female student asked if she could have some of the photos, but the man said no, so the woman left the car and went to her apartment, McGlothian-Taylor said. The man followed her into the apartment, believing she had taken some photos. The two argued and the man took the woman's wallet, refusing to return it until the photos were returned. During the argument, the man pushed the woman onto a couch and was violent with her in front of her 8-year-old son, McGlothian-Taylor said. The man told police he never hit the woman in a harsh manner and was defending himself by swatting away her hands as she tried to retrieve her wallet. He was arrested by police at the scene. Neither student had visible injuries.Laura Misjak
