The Lansing Police Department and the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office announced the dismantlement of a major drug trafficking organization in the Lansing area. The three-and-a-half year investigation concluded with the indictment 27 people, with 25 of the organization's members pleading guilty and being sentenced to an average of nine years in prison, Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III said. The group ran cocaine, marijuana and heroine throughout the area and also had ties to Detroit although the principle suppliers were from New York, Dunnings said.Ashley A. Smith
