A 1-inch gas line ruptured Tuesday near Agriculture Hall after it was hit by a backhoe during construction, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A construction worker at the scene reported the line rupture, which occurred on the southeast side of the hall. Consumers Energy was called into the area and repaired the line.Laura Misjak
