A 19-year-old female student reported $650 missing from her bank account between 11 a.m. and 6:13 p.m. Wednesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student said she had used her Visa ATM card to withdraw $20, and the receipt said she had a negative balance in her account. Upon calling her bank, she learned her account had been used to pay Consumers Energy, rent and cable bills. The student lives on campus and does not pay rent, electricity or cable bills. The incident is still under investigation, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 27-year-old male student reported items missing from his West Shaw Hall dorm room between 10:30-10:40 p.m. Friday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student said he left his dorm room unlocked while he visited a friend in another room. When he returned, he found his items missing. The stolen items include a $10 yellow umbrella, $50 Prada cologne, a $120 silver Swatch wristwatch, a $70 material sciences textbook, a $100 internal combustion textbook, a $100 theory of vibration text book, a $90 orthopedic biomechanics textbook and a $12 Korean to English dictionary.Laura Misjak
