A 31-year-old male university employee reported his briefcase and wallet stolen from the MSU Small Animal Clinic between 12:30-4 p.m. on Monday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The employee said he left his black, soft-sided leather briefcase, along with his wallet, on top of his desk in an unlocked office he shared with other employees. The wallet did not contain any cash, but did hold some identification and credit cards. The employee's wife called him at about 4:30 p.m. to say their credit card company had called to report several large purchases had just been made on their card. Upon hearing the news, the employee returned to his office and found his wallet and briefcase missing.A 19-year-old female Okemos resident with no university affiliation reported her $15 purse stolen between midnight and 12:02 a.m. on Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The woman was attending an event in the Big Ten Room of the Kellogg Center and had set her miniclutch down, which contained various identification cards.
