The Kresge Foundation approved a $1 million grant to the Citizens Research Council of Michigan for operating and program support, as well as endowment. The council began a campaign to expand its support and provide funding for research programs. The foundation is challenging the group to raise $6.05 million from other funding sources by mid-2008 to receive the grant.
