A female MSU police enforcer was assaulted by a male student as she waited for his vehicle to be towed on Thursday near Abbott Road and East Grand River Avenue.The 20-year-old parking enforcer was citing a two-door black Chevrolet Monte Carlo for having more than six parking tickets by having it towed, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.While the victim was waiting for the towing service, the owner approached her, made vulgar remarks and pushed her before driving away, McGlothian-Taylor said.The victim stated she was hit in the right arm but didn't require medical attention, McGlothian-Taylor said. Department officials were able to trace the vehicle's owner to a 24-year-old student who has yet to be apprehended.An 18-year-old student's iPod was stolen from her backpack on Wednesday while she was inside the Brody Hall Totally Takeout.The victim followed store policy by leaving her backpack outside while she shopped and didn't discover the black and silver iPod missing until she returned to her dorm room, McGlothian-Taylor said.The item is valued at $300. Nothing else was stolen from the backpack.Maggie Lillis
