Two MSU field hockey players — senior forward Ashley Pernicano and freshman midfielder Floor Rijpma — have been named second team All-NFHCA West Region. Both players also were named second team All-Big Ten earlier this month.
In her final season, Pernicano scored as many goals (11) as she had combined in three previous seasons at MSU. Rijpma finished third on the team in scoring with six goals and three assists.
