An East Wilson Hall resident's book, with $1,600 in cash inside it, was stolen from his dorm room sometime between Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon, MSU police said. The 20-year-old student was unsure if the door was locked at the time. He noticed the book and money stashed inside were missing at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The book was valued at about $20. There are no suspects in the case, and McGlothian-Taylor said she was unsure if the victim has a roommate or suitemates in the residence hall. McGlothian-Taylor also didn't indicate why the student was storing the money inside the book.Maggie Lillis
