Six canvas bags used to store folding chairs and a nylon carrier for a canopy tent were stolen Saturday from a 55-year-old MSU employee's tailgate area in Lot 39.The items were stolen sometime between noon and 4 p.m., when the woman was attending the football game, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.When the woman returned to the site, she noticed her clear, plastic totes had been rummaged through, but the carrying bags were the only items missing.The incident is still under investigation.A 51-year-old professor reported Monday that a white Sony VAIO laptop stolen from an office in the Biomedical and Physical Sciences Building.The laptop, which is estimated to be worth $2,200, was last seen Sept. 19. The professor said although the laptop is not used often, it is stored in an office that is never left unattended or unlocked, McGlothian-Taylor said.The incident is still under investigation.Maggie Lillis
