A memorial will be held for former director of the MSU Instructional Media Center Somnath Chatterjee, 64, who died July 13.

The ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. July 30 at the Alumni Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services have already been held.

Chatterjee died from organ failure, his daughter, Lily Chatterjee, said.

She said he "passed away peacefully at home with his family."

Somnath Chatterjee graduated from MSU and started working at the university in 1962 while he was a student. Chatterjee was director of the center from 1975-2005, when he retired. Chatterjee was also honored by the state Legislature in 1988.
