A 61-year-old man reported his license plate stolen between 10 and 11 a.m. Saturday in the Plant Biology Laboratories parking lot. The plate was taken by an unknown suspect and was worth about $50, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.An 18-year-old female MSU student reported her purse stolen between 6:45 and 7 p.m. Friday in the McDonel Hall cafeteria. "She left her purse in the cafeteria, and when she went back to her room, she realized it was missing," McGlothian-Taylor said. The purse contained her key and wallet, which contained her IDs and $5.A 30-year-old male MSU employee reported his cell phone stolen between noon Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday in Anthony Hall. "He left his office unlocked, open and unattended," McGlothian-Taylor said. The employee's blue Samsung flip cell phone was worth about $150.A 48-year-old male MSU employee reported several flower pots destroyed between 9 p.m. Thursday and 9:50 a.m. Friday at Cowles House. The pots contained soil and plants, and one was smashed while three others were thrown over a railing into nearby bushes, McGlothian-Taylor said. The pots were worth about $50.Lindsey Poisson
