A 52-year-old man from Lansing was cited at 7:45 p.m. on May 5 for illegally removing trash from university property, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. "The person was going through the Dumpster looking for cans," she said. The man has no affiliation with the university and was cited and then released. A 45-year-old male MSU employee reported a 2004 Dell projector stolen from Farrall Hall between 2:30 p.m. on May 3 and 10:30 a.m. on May 4, McGlothian-Taylor said. There were no signs of forced entry. The estimated worth of the projector is $1,400.A 46-year-old male Kellogg Center employee reported being harassed and threatened by another male employee, 42 years old, for moving a toolbox, McGlothian-Taylor said. The complainant reported the employee confronted him on May 2 about moving the toolbox, which the complainant denied. On May 4, the employee, allegedly intoxicated, contacted the complainant via telephone inquiring about the toolbox. The complainant reported the employee confronted him again on May 6, allegedly intoxicated, and threatened physical violence. The employee admitted to calling and being angry with the complainant, but not threatening. The employee wanted to retrieve candy and $8 contained in the toolbox, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 22-year-old male student was cited on May 5 for blasting loud music during the midnight scream, an unofficially designated time at 12:00 a.m. during finals week when students scream out their windows to help alleviate stress, McGlothian-Taylor said. The officer was on foot near South Wonders Hall and heard the music from a window more than 500 feet away.Lindsey Poisson
