Three people reported being robbed at gunpoint at about 5 p.m. on Monday at White Memorial Park on Abbott Road, East Lansing police Sgt. Jeff Murphy said.A man, armed with a revolver, stole a small amount of money before running away from the park, Murphy said. No one was injured.The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, about 20 years old, 5-foot-10, 165 pounds, with a shaved head or very short hair, police said. He was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans and was last seen getting into a 1990s black Honda with a pile of clothes in the back seat, heading toward the 1600 block of Abbott Road.A 26-year-old Lansing man reported he was stabbed at about 2 a.m. Sunday near the 100 block of Albert Street, Murphy said. The stabbing was a result of a fight between the victim and the suspect.The man was treated for two non-life-threatening stab wounds.A 23-year-old student reported being assaulted outside Abbot Hall at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, MSU police Sgt. Paul Kuchek said. There was a large fight outside the hall, and numerous people fled the area when officers arrived, Kuchek said. The student reported he saw about 20 to 30 people in the area, yelling and throwing items at a nearby fraternity house. When the student tried stopping two people from fighting, he was grabbed and hit in the face. Paramedics advised the student he needed stitches, but he refused medical attention.A 19-year-old student reported he was assaulted while he was jogging down Shaw Lane near Birch Street at about 5 p.m. Friday, Kuchek said. The student reported he came across a group of six men, who appeared to be intoxicated and made a comment about the student's clothes. The student got into a verbal argument with the men but then left. Shortly after, he saw a 20-year-old student get pushed against a fence by the same group of men. The jogger went to help the other student and fell while dodging a punch. He ended up with a badly sprained ankle. The student wants to press charges, and the case is still under investigation.Melissa Domsic
