Police briefs 04/21/06

A 21-year-old student reported $100 taken from her bank account at about 6:30 p.m. April 7, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The student noticed the money was missing Tuesday and reported she might have left her ATM card at an ATM machine in the Union on April 7. There are no suspects and the case is under investigation.A 31-year-old student reported a $200 cable modem stolen between March 15 and Wednesday from a Spartan Village office, McGlothian-Taylor said. There were no signs of forced entry. Several people have keys to the office, but there are no suspects.A 19-year-old student reported a $30 coursepack stolen from his backpack in a Jenison Fieldhouse locker room between 2 and 5 p.m. Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The backpack was left unattended in the locker room.A 23-year-old student reported a $125 textbook stolen from the Main Library's fourth floor at about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student reported she left the book unattended for a few minutes.Melissa Domsic
