East Lansing announced Monday the winners of the 2006 Crystal Awards for enhancing the quality of life.
This year's recipients are:
Howard Ballein, owner of the Student Book Store, 417 E. Grand River Ave., for more than 45 years and involvement in many city organizations.
Beth and Al Cafagna, who, among other musical achievements in the city, founded the Summer Solstice Jazz Festival.
Barbara McMillan, for her passion for public schools in the community.
