Police are seeking warrants for two 20-year-old students and one 20-year-old Shelby Twp. man who allegedly broke into Yakeley Hall and pulled the fire alarm between 3:20 and 3:30 a.m. Saturday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The suspects reportedly broke into the building through a basement window. Witnesses said they saw the suspects, who were allegedly belligerent and loud, walk to a stairway in Yakeley. The alarm sounded as soon as the suspects were out of sight, witnesses said. Officers contacted the suspects, who denied pulling the alarm. The report is being forwarded to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office.A 35-year-old university employee reported more than $13,100 of projectors stolen from Anthony Hall between 9 p.m. Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Friday, McGlothian-Taylor said. There was $150 in damage to the door, and two video and data projectors and lenses were missing. There are no suspects and the case is still under investigation.A 19-year-old student reported her $300 iPod stolen from her Yakeley Hall room between 3 and 10 p.m. March 17, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student said she left her iPod on her desk while various people visited throughout the day.A 22-year-old student reported two textbooks stolen from the Main Library's second floor at about noon Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student said she left the books on a table while she went to the restroom. The loss is about $225.Melissa Domsic
