About $730 in illegal transactions were made on a 43-year-old university employee's credit card, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothain-Taylor said. The employee reported her credit card stolen from her desk in the Administration Building between Jan. 28 and Jan. 30. She left it in her unlocked desk drawer and periodically left her desk unattended. She didn't realize the card was missing until Feb. 4, and reported the loss Sunday. There are no suspects.A 28-year-old student reported $120 in books stolen from a desk in an Engineering Building study room between 7:20 and 8 p.m. Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student left his two books unattended and returned to find them missing.Melissa Domsic
