An 18-year-old student was arrested and taken to jail Saturday for breaking two Emmons Hall windows and possessing alcohol, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A witness saw the Emmons resident running away from the broken windows. The damage amounted to about $900.Multiple purchases — some more than $300 — were made on an 18-year-old student's stolen credit card, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student reported her black Gucci wallet was stolen from her purse hanging on a coat rack in the Union between 10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Saturday. The student's credit card company alerted her of the suspicious charges at several local stores. An employee of one of the Union's stores described the suspect as a black male, 6-foot-2, with a large build, brown eyes and black hair.A student and university employee both reported their belongings stolen from unlocked lockers at IM Sports-West between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Friday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The 23-year-old student had about $160 worth of items taken, including a black Nike duffle bag, Verizon cell phone, keys and Gap jeans, McGlothian-Taylor said. The 28-year-old employee reported his wallet, containing $60, IDs and credit cards, stolen.Items stolen from an IM Sports-Circle locker room were later found in a trash can near the Music Building, with everything accounted for but $34, McGlothian-Taylor said. An 18-year-old student reported his pants, cell phone and wallet were stolen from a bag near the shower in the locker room at about 2 p.m. Saturday. At about 9 p.m. an MSU police officer was dispatched to pick up the lost and found items at the Music Building.About $15 in coins were reported stolen from a coin-operated machine in a South Wonders Hall parking lot last weekend, McGlothian-Taylor said.
