About $380 worth of computer parts and accessories were reported stolen from the Natural Resources Building between Jan. 11 and Jan. 18, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.More than $200 in fraudulent credit card purchases were made with a 52-year-old university employee's account sometime between Friday and Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The employee said the account information may have been taken after making a purchase on a nonsecure Web site.A 26-year-old student reported her wallet stolen from the Main Library between 5 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student said she left her purse unattended for a short period of time and returned to find her wallet, which contained $50, missing.A 22-year-old student reported $40 and a credit card stolen from an unlocked locker at IM Sports-West at about 2:20 p.m. Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects.A 38-year-old university employee reported his wallet stolen from his office in the Administration Building between 8 and 10:45 a.m. Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. The wallet contained a checkbook, credit cards and ID cards. The employee left his office for a few minutes and left the door ajar. He said he saw a suspicious person outside of the snack shop area and described him as a white male, unshaven, about 20 years old, about 6 feet tall, with dark hair, a dark backpack and dark knit hat, McGlothian-Taylor said.Melissa Domsic
