Cartoon repulsive, wrong message sent

I found the Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and abortion cartoon (SN 1/27) to be disgusting, vile, immoral and loathsome. Terrence Nowicki drew a cartoon in which a pregnant woman is asking for Alito's coat hanger. The premise behind this cartoon is that back alley abortions will occur if pro-life judges overrule Roe v. Wade. This is just a callous attempt at scaring the pro-choice people into believing that keeping abortion legalized would save lives.

Since abortion is legal, it sends the wrong message that the government approves of the horrid taking of innocent life. This deceives women into thinking that since it is legal, it must be acceptable. Slavery was approved of by our government at one time. Was that right?

What ever happened to our inalienable right to life? Did you know that if a person were to perform an abortion on a dog, the act would be considered animal cruelty and jail time would likely be the punishment?

Unborn people are human and should be entitled to the same basic human rights that everyone else is entitled to. When government denies rights to the people, it is repugnant.

The South denied basic rights to blacks, the Nazis denied rights to Jewish people and other minorities and the communists denied rights to basically everyone. Unborn children are living human beings whom deserve basic human rights. Each unique human life begins at conception. This is a scientific fact. It is not at all a religious belief nor an opinion that people can disagree on. It is a fact. Social justice starts in the womb.
