Each week, The State News will bring you a glimpse of some of the public events MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon is planning to attend on behalf of the university, from across campus to across the state, nation and even world.

This week:

Monday: Simon will be in Chicago for a University Development function.

Tuesday: She will attend an Academic Council meeting at 3:15 p.m., room 115 International Center.

Wednesday: Simon will head downtown for a meeting of the Presidents Council, State Universities of Michigan at 9 a.m. at 101 S. Washington Square, Suite 600, in Lansing.

That evening, Simon will be on hand for Gov. Jennifer Granholm's State of the State address at 7 p.m. at the Capitol.

If time permits, Simon will head back to campus to catch some of the Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra's performance at the Auditorium.
