A laptop and cell phone — valued at $1,700 — were reported stolen from a South Hubbard Hall dorm room between 4 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The 18-year-old student said his Dell laptop computer and Samsung cell phone were taken while he was sleeping in his unlocked room. There are no suspects.A 26-year-old student reported his jacket, wallet, cell phone and Palm Pilot were stolen from an unlocked locker at IM Sports-West while he played racquetball Friday from 3 to 4 p.m., McGlothian-Taylor said. The loss is estimated at about $260 and there are no suspects.About $150 worth of damage to a door in Conrad Hall was reported Saturday, McGlothian-Taylor said. It appeared that someone attempted to break into the room, but the door was still locked and nothing of value was reported missing. Melissa Domsic
