A $2,500 Dell laptop computer was reported stolen from the Business Library at about 3:30 p.m. Monday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 19-year-old student said she left the laptop under a book in a work cubicle while she left to use the restroom and found the laptop missing a few minutes later.An $1,800 Sony VAIO laptop computer and headphones were reported stolen from the Main Library at about 5:30 p.m. Monday, McGlothian-Taylor said. A 21-year-old student left the computer and headphones unattended for a few minutes and returned to find they were gone.A 20-year-old student reported about $1,000 worth of damage to his car parked in Lot 89, McGlothian-Taylor said. There was a dent and several hundred scratches to the driver's side door of the blue 2002 Chevrolet Blazer. The car was damaged sometime between 7 p.m. Jan. 17 and about 4 p.m. Monday.A wallet containing various ID cards, an ATM card, bus pass and a couple dollars was reported stolen from an unlocked locker at IM Sports-West between 3:30 and 3:40 p.m. Jan. 17, McGlothian-Taylor said.
