Police briefs 01/12/06

A projector lamp from a mounted data projector was stolen from Wells Hall between 7 p.m. Monday and about 10 a.m. Tuesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The projector is valued at about $460. A 35-year-old university employee said it was in an unlocked classroom, McGlothian-Taylor said. There are no suspects in the incident.A security gate card for Chandler Crossings apartment complex valued at $50 was taken from a lab in the Trout Food Science Building at about 6 p.m. Jan. 5, McGlothian-Taylor said. The complainant, a 23-year-old student, said she left the card unattended on a table in one of the labs while she was still in the room. The door was propped to the lab, McGlothian-Taylor said.
