Nearly $850 in electronics were reported stolen from a south Hubbard Hall dorm room while the 19-year-old resident was away for winter break, said MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor. The student said his room was locked when he returned from break, but a television, DVD player, surround sound system and other electronics were missing.A 23-year-old Lansing resident was hit by a car as she walked across Evergreen Avenue at about 6 p.m. Monday, said East Lansing police Sgt. Brian Horn. The pedestrian was taken to Lansing's Sparrow Hospital with minor wrist and neck injuries after she was struck by the hood of the car, Horn said. The driver, a 28-year-old Lansing resident, was traveling westbound on Albert Avenue and attempted to make a left on Evergreen Avenue, said Horn, adding two witnesses said the driver never stopped at the intersection.
