"Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" is a documentary about a homeless musician discovering the meaning of life after initiating a friendship with a bunch of parrots. Playing tonight at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbott Road, at 7:30 p.m. Also showing at Wells Hall, room 108B, Friday through Sunday at 7p.m. and 9:15p.m.

Saturday: "Expressions of Healing and Hope," opening reception of artwork by survivors of sexual and domestic violence. Michigan Women's Historical Center and Hall of Fame, 213 W. Main St. in Lansing. Exhibit opening will be from 1-3 p.m. and is free. A reception will follow at Magdalena's Tea House, 2006 E. Michigan Ave. from 3-5 p.m. A donation is suggested for the reception, which includes music, poetry and refreshments.
