A tailgater at the Oct. 1 Michigan game lost $1,110 in golf equipment when he left his vehicle unlocked in Lot 88, an MSU police report states.TaylorMade golf clubs valued at $500 were stolen from the vehicle, along with golf balls, gloves and a $75 MacGregor golf bag, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.• An MSU student reported a Monday assault outside IM Sports-West, near the bike racks, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student said he was approached by a man who accused him of talking about his girlfriend, McGlothian-Taylor said.When the student laughed and responded he didn't know the man, the suspect punched the student on the left side of his face, police said.The student's eyelid was red and swollen, but he refused medical treatment.The suspect was described as a black male around 20 years old, about 6-feet tall, 210 pounds, a heavy build, with black hair and brown eyes, and was wearing a long white T-shirt with an airbrushed picture of Tupac Shakur, McGlothian-Taylor said.Margaret Harding
