Notre Dame (1-0) at Michigan (1-0)
Under new coach Charlie Weis, Notre Dame heads into Michigan Stadium to battle the Wolverines in what will be a marquee game between the two historic programs.
The Irish are coming off a dominating 42-21 win against Pittsburgh, where Irish quarterback Brady Quinn went 18-for-27 for 233 yards and two touchdowns.
On the ground, the Irish will look to continue their rushing success with running back Darius Walker and fullback Rashon Powers-Neal, who had three touchdowns last weekend.
Michigan is coming off a less than impressive 33-17 win over Northern Illinois in which U-M capitalized on turnovers to beat the Huskies.
The Wolverines running game will feature Michael Hart and Kevin Grady, who each had a touchdown last weekend.

Northern Illinois (0-1) at Northwestern (1-0)
Northwestern is searching for its seventh straight home victory when the Huskies visit Ryan Field.
The current six-game win streak is the Wildcats' longest stand of home wins since a 12-game stance from 1995-97.
Northwestern finished with 550 yards of offense, led by quarterback Brett Basanez's 353 yards through the air. Basanez is 176 yards away from breaking a school record in career passing yardage of 7,487. He also needs 18 more completions and 132 yards of total offense to tie two more records.
Northern Illinois moved the ball efficiently against Michigan last week, but committed five turnovers, including four fumbles, to lose 33-17.

Temple (0-1) at Wisconsin (1-0)
Wisconsin looks to continue its offensive dominance against a Temple defense that struggled last weekend. Temple gave up 300 yards on the ground in its 63-16 loss to Arizona State.
The Badgers came from behind in their own season opener against Bowling Green, 56-42.
The Badgers were led by running back Brian Calhoun, who was named the Big Ten's Offensive Player of the Week. Calhoun scored five touchdowns and racked up 258 yards on 43 carries. Wisconsin will look to pound the ball against a weak Temple defense.

No. 8 Iowa (1-0) at Iowa State (1-0)
The two in-state rivals are battling for the second Cy-Hawk Trophy, awarded to the winner of the annual contest between the two schools in all sports. Iowa holds the advantage at 35-17 when the two teams meet.
Iowa's offense last weekend exploded for 28 points in the first quarter and the Hawkeyes coasted from there, defeating Ball State, 56-0. Quarterback Drew Tate was 9-for-10 with two touchdowns before being taken out of the game.
Iowa's running backs combined for four touchdowns and 241 yards.
Iowa State downed Illinois State, 32-21. Quarterback Bret Meyer led the Cyclones with 314 passing yards and also threw a touchdown pass.
The two schools have a bit of a sibling rivalry - Iowa tight end C.J. Barkema and Iowa State tight end Ben Barkema are brothers.

Cincinnati (1-0) at Penn State (1-0)
Penn State will need to rely on its defense once again, as it did last weekend against South Florida.
The Nittany Lions also received a strong game from running back Tony Hunt in the 23-13 victory. He finished with 140 yards on 15 carries and also scored a touchdown.
The defense also chipped in offensively when cornerback Alan Zemaitis recovered a fumble and ran it in for a touchdown in the first quarter.
Dustin Grutzka threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another score for Cincinnati last week in his first career start to lift Cincinnati over Eastern Michigan, 28-26. The Bearcats rushed for 293 yards in their victory over the Eagles.
The two schools are meeting on the field for the first time since 1992.

San Jose State (1-0) at Illinois (1-0)
After Ron Zook earned his first win at Illinois in such dramatic fashion, the Fighting Illini will play host to the Spartans.
The Illini are led by quarterback Tim Brasic, who went 24-for-34, passing for 233 yards and three touchdown passes. Brasic also showed power on the ground, rushing for 77 yards on 18 carries. He will have help in the backfield from Pierre Thomas Jr., who had 11 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown in last week's win.
In his first year of coaching at San Jose State, Dick Tomey is looking to lead the team to a 2-0 record for the first time since 1987.
The Spartans are led by quarterback Adam Tafralis, who threw for 290 yards against Eastern Washington - part of 543-yard offensive attack.

Nicholls State (0-0) at Indiana (1-0)
Terry Hoeppner will experience his first home game at Indiana this weekend as the Hoosiers host the Colonels.
The Hoosiers, coming off a close seven-point win at Central Michigan last week, again are looking to quarterback Blake Powers to lead the team. Last week, Powers completed 17-of-35 passes for three touchdowns, while James Hardy led the Hoosiers in receiving with five receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown.
Nicholls State will have its first game of the season Saturday, as last week's was canceled due to Hurricane Katrina. In 2004, quarterback Yale Vannoy threw for 700 yards on 39 completions.

Colorado State (0-1) at Minnesota (1-0)
Minnesota's Laurence Maroney took advantage of his first opportunity as the feature running back, rushing for a career-high 203 yards in a 41-10 victory over Tulsa. Minnesota finished the game with 536 yards in offense, while the defense forced Tulsa to four turnovers.
Colorado State will try to recover from a close loss to in-state rival Colorado. The Rams saw the game slip away when Colorado kicked a field goal with four seconds remaining and won, 31-28.
