The State News presents five things going on in the world of pop culture that just might make your life a little bit better.
1. "Do You Want To," the first single from Scottish band Franz Ferdinand's new album, "You Could Have it So Much Better ... With Franz Ferdinand." It's a fun, infectious dance tune, and your ears will be lucky, lucky, so lucky to hear it. It's not to be confused with Xscape's song of the same name, however.
2. "Lipstick Jungle," the latest offering from "Sex and the City" diva Candace Bushnell - except this novel centers on three man-hungry, middle-aged New York women instead of four. Does this mean Manolo Blahnik will be name dropped 25 percent less?
3. Since the world is obsessed with other people's secrets, www.lowbrow.com dishes them out just as fast as you can click refresh on your browser.
4. Try the Rodeo Burger with fries at The Peanut Barrel Restaurant, 521 E. Grand River Ave. It's basically a bacon cheeseburger, but it's a great fix for those missing Wendy's. It's $4.95 without tax.
5. Still love the '80s? Check out "Reunion" on Fox at 9 p.m. Thursday. Last week's premiere took place in 1986. But here's the catch - every show is a new year. Soon it'll be the '90s, which sadly marks the end of double-popped collars.
