Crisis intervention training starts today

The Listening Ear Crisis Intervention Center, 313 W. Grand River Ave., will have orientation sessions for new volunteer training starting at 7 p.m. today in Wells Hall.

Interested applicants must attend at least one session. Sessions also will take place Wednesday and Thursday from 7-9:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 1-3:30 p.m.

Sessions will be held at Wells Hall.

There will be signs directing volunteers to the orientation room.

Orientation will consist of filling out an application, learning about the organization and participating in a small group with other potential volunteers. Volunteers will be asked to work at least one shift a week, and scheduling is flexible.
