To suggest WDBM (88.9-FM) is not diverse in its music selection is absurd; only more absurd is the hint of racism in the music selection ("Campus radio station should diversify its daytime music rotation" SN 7/19).
After eight years of living in East Lansing, the Impact offers by far the most diverse music in the area. Unlike other stations where you'll hear the same five songs on a loop, I've listened to the Impact for hours on end with little to no repeated songs. Obviously, the author of the article wants to hear some hip-hop - then put on another station.
The Impact plays music that no other station does. I don't want generic Clear Channel-esque offerings from them. If you want to hear what's "popular" and on MTV, look elsewhere. I like my Impact just the way it is.
