What I wish I knew ...

Most people say they wish they had the chance to redo their freshman year. They'd have a chance to have more fun, get lost less and maybe earn some better grades. Here's some advice from some graduating seniors who say, good or bad, there's nothing like freshman year.

"Nobody ever told me it's important to take summer classes. It's important to get things out of the way - the sooner you do them, the better."

Danielle Dow
communication senior

"There will always be something to do besides studying - the biggest thing is prioritizing. There's plenty of time to play later."

Andrew Monticello
supply chain management senior

"Make sure you study hard in your first semester. Those grades carry through your whole college career, and it can be really hard to dig yourself out of an academic hole."

Dan Reese
supply chain management senior

"You can take classes during the summer at community colleges - you don't have to pay the State price, and no offense, it's easier."

Michelle Tarnowski
biological science senior

"I didn't know there were so many different organizations on campus, and if I'd known, I'd have joined some."

Melissa Buchholtz
physiology senior

"They tell you so much (when you first get here), and you should actually listen, as far as how much you should study and things like that. It's good advice."

Michelle Howard
kinesiology senior

"Even if you think you know what you want to do, take a variety of classes, just to see how you like them."

Mikala Mondelli
biological science senior

"I'd recommend shopping allMSU.com for pre-owned books and checking out professors."

Brandon McNew
