Spartans spirit

Business freshman Rob Trufant and business and pre-law freshman Eric Lubanski led a group of young Spartans fans in cheers Tuesday night for the MSU women's basketball team, as it vied for the NCAA Championship.

"You gotta start them young," Trufant said. "You've got to love it."

Nearly 600 people came to Breslin Center to cheer on the women's team in its first drive for the title. Supply chain management sophomore Brandon Vanderkolk saw the women beat Tennessee in Indianapolis and said he knew he had to watch the championship game.

"I feel the guys (team) are the only ones that get noticed, but the girls will be noticed now," he said.
