A 19-year-old student reported his red 2005 Mazda 6 and other personal items were stolen between midnight and noon Wednesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.A 22-year-old Howell man was visiting the student Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said, and when the 19-year-old student woke up Wednesday, he noticed his keys, two Xbox video games and $5 from his wallet were missing, and the Howell man was gone. The student went to class, came back and still couldn't find his keys. He became worried and went to the commuter lot to check on his car and discovered his vehicle missing, McGlothian-Taylor said.The police still are attempting to reach the Howell man, she said.The case is under investigation. A 44-year-old university employee reported $500 in damage on the fountain in front of the Main Library, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 1.5-by-3-foot slab of concrete was tipped into the fountain, causing the damage, McGlothian-Taylor said.The case still is under investigation.Lauren Phillips
