A 19-year-old female student reported being assaulted by her roommate's 22-year-old male friend in her Armstrong Hall dorm room between 1:30 p.m. March 30 and 1 a.m. March 31, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The suspect, intoxicated, and another man arrived at the room to give the roommate a ride back to her hometown, the woman told police. The suspect began taking money out of his pocket and threw it on the floor.The woman told police she picked up a few of the dollars and dropped them again. When she picked up another, the suspect demanded his money back. As the woman was leaving to finish packing he grabbed her shirt, threw her into a corner, choking her, and demanded his money back, she said. The case is still under investigation.Lauren Phillips
