A 27-year-old female student reported being assaulted at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday by a man while she was in her car at Spartan Village.The woman told police she was dropping off a friend and was stopped in front of the apartment building when a vehicle drove up behind her, horn honking as it approached, McGlothian-Taylor said. The suspect began yelling at her to get out of the way and threatened to "beat her down." He got out of his car, opened the woman's driver's side door, yelled and then slapped her on the right side of the face with an open hand, McGlothian-Taylor said. He then reportedly dragged his hand across her chest, leaving a 3-inch scratch on her chest.The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years of age, 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, with unknown hair and eye color.The case is still under investigation.Lauren Phillips
