Several scholarships will be awarded to students at the 21st annual Awards and Appreciation Reception today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Breslin Center.
Each year, the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities acknowledges eight students and alumni with awards. The honors are based on achievement or contribution regarding accessibility issues at MSU.
Valerie Nilson, a learning disabilities specialist at the center, said it's uplifting to hear stories from students who have either overcome adversity or who work to improve accessibility on campus.
