A 29-year-old Kalamazoo resident reported his Rice Kitchen car sign stolen Thursday night, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The man said he left his 1999 Chevrolet Prism in the parking lot near Bailey Hall for five minutes at 10 p.m. When he returned, the rear passenger side window was broken, and the attached Rice Kitchen sign, worth $200, was missing. Police have no suspects.• Two laptops were reported stolen from the Physics-Astronomy Building between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, McGlothian-Taylor said.A 24-year-old male university employee returned to the building Thursday to find his $800 Hewlett-Packard laptop stolen from a locked office.He told police he noticed his colleague's $1,260 Toshiba laptop also was stolen. His colleague, a 28-year-old female student, said she didn't lock the office door behind her.There were no signs of forced entry, and police have no suspects.
