A senior interior design student was killed in a rollover car accident Sunday just before midnight.

Lara Maria Polteraitis, 21, of Livonia, didn't make a curve in the road, and she struck a utility pole, then a cement culvert before rolling over, said Clinton County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Steven Nobis.

Polteraitis was driving westbound on Round Lake Road at Oakdale Drive in Victor Township, a Clinton County Township of about 3,300 people.

Polteraitis was wearing her seatbelt, Nobis said. The Clinton County Sheriff's Department did not say if speed or alcohol were factors in the incident.
