An 18-year-old MSU student reported being shot at with a paintball gun in two locations early Friday morning, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The victim, who was with a 21-year-old male student, told police a 1993 green Pontiac Bonneville drove east on E. Grand River Avenue and shot at him. As the car continued driving, the 18-year-old told police the suspects' gun broke, and one man got out of the car to pick up the broken piece.The car reportedly did a U-turn on E. Grand River Avenue, and the two students continued walking, passing the Music Building.A subject then jumped out from behind the music building and shot at the students again, police said. The students fled to the library. Police located the car and driver, who pointed them to two other suspects. All three suspects were 18-year-old men from Saginaw, with no university affiliation.The 18-year-old victim reported bruises, but refused medical attention.The case was turned over to the East Lansing Police Department.• A 48-year-old university employee reported a locked video data projector stolen from the Natural Sciences building between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, McGlothian-Taylor said.The $7,550 projector was locked to a three-tier black rolling cart with a cable lock.The equipment was stored in a closet where three other projectors were stored.Police said the door automatically locks, but it closes with difficulty. There were no signs of force.Police have no suspects.
