A 19-year-old female Gilchrist Hall resident reported an obscene phone call on her cell phone on Wednesday evening, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student told police she answered her cell phone and heard clicking and static. After repeating "Hello?" several times, an unknown person said, "It's me, it's me." He reportedly made obscene comments for 47 seconds until the student hung up on him.McGlothian-Taylor said the woman did not recognize the phone number nor the voice.Police have no suspects, and are still investigating. A 46-year-old university employee reported missing supplies from the basement of Erickson Hall on Tuesday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The $480 loss allegedly happened in a supply room between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Three cases of General Electric mini-spring lamps and two boxes of trash can liners were reported stolen from the locked room.McGlothian-Taylor said a door was removed from the room several weeks ago, but it was replaced prior to Tuesday's incident. An argument between two 20-year-old acquaintances escalated into a reported assault and battery on Tuesday night, McGlothian-Taylor said.The two got into an argument on the third floor of Case Hall, which led to a fight in the hallway outside the computer lab.McGlothian-Taylor said the two had an ongoing disagreement and had been friends at one time. The incident is still under investigation.
