A 19-year-old female student reported her car damaged by something similar to a pumpkin, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The student's 2004 Ford Escort was reportedly in the parking loop near Baker Hall between Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Monday at 9 a.m.The car had a dent in the front passenger door that looked as though someone threw something at the car, McGlothian-Taylor said. The dent and debris reportedly looked as though it was hit by something similar to a pumpkin, but police said there were no remnants of pumpkin on the ground.Police have no suspects, and are still investigating, McGlothian-Taylor said.• A 22-year-old man visiting from Indiana reported his car stolen from the handicap parking bay on the northeast corner of Dormitory and Auditorium roads on Sunday, McGlothian-Taylor said.The man told police his 2000 Saturn SL2 contained an unknown amount of clothing and had a handicap permit on the mirror. He allegedly noticed the car missing just after 11 p.m.McGlothian-Taylor said she didn't know if the car was locked or unlocked.Police said there was no broken glass in the area, and have no suspects. Police are continuing to investigate, McGlothian-Taylor said.Shannon Houghton
