A 19-year-old student reported that a high school-aged girl threatened her and pushed her into a wall in the stairwell of Armstrong Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.She described the assailant as a 16- to 17-year-old black female with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes, wearing a white shirt, pink shawl, jeans and a red bandana.An 18-year-old female witness, also an MSU student, confirmed the 19-year-old's story.A third student, an 18-year-old man, told police he heard a commotion in the stairwell, and he saw two women arguing with three or four unknown subjects. He said he went back to his room to get his video camera.As he was videotaping, he reported the 18-year-old female witness punched him in the chest with her fist, then several times in his stomach until he retreated.The man reported he didn't know why he was attacked except because he was videotaping. He said he did not see the 16- to 17-year-old girl, McGlothian-Taylor said.Police searched the area and could not find the suspect.Police cited the 18-year-old female student for minor in possession and charged her with assaulting the 18-year-old male student. The assault was referred to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office. A 21-year-old North Wonders Hall resident reported six phone calls from an unknown subject between Oct. 17 and Friday night, McGlothian-Taylor said.The female student said the calls were from an unknown man, who attempted to talk with her until she hung up. McGlothian-Taylor said she didn't know if the calls were made to a room phone or a cell phone. An 18-year-old male student reported his red Diamondback Mountain Bike stolen from an open bike room in East Holden Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student told police the $215 bike and cable lock were taken between Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. There were no signs of forced entry into the room, and he told police the door to the fourth-floor bike room is often left open.
