You. Yeah, you. Want to have your voice heard this election year? Now's your chance.
The State News is seeking six MSU students for its Debate Watch 2004 panel. The six students will meet at The State News offices to watch the three presidential debates on Sept. 30, Oct. 8 and Oct. 13 and the vice presidential debate on Oct. 5 to have their viewpoints turned into a series of stories for publication after each event.
The panel will be comprised of two President Bush supporters, two John Kerry supporters and two undecided voters. Panelists cannot be affiliated with any partisan student organization, and must be available for the entirety of all four debates.
To apply, e-mail editorinchief@statenews.com with the subject line "debate panel." In your e-mail, please include the following information: name, age, major, class year and a short statement explaining which candidate you're supporting (or whether you're undecided) along with why you feel you should be part of the panel.
