Planetarium to hold astronomy lecture

The MSU Department of Physics and Astronomy will present a lecture titled "Black Holes, Quasars and the Birth of Galaxies," at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Abrams Planetarium.

Physics and astronomy Professor Jack Baldwin will give the lecture. Following his presentation, there will be a public viewing of the sky through telescopes outside the planetarium or on the observation deck of the Biomedical and Physical Science Building across the street from the planetarium.

The cost of the event is $5, and is the second series of nine lectures presented by the physics and astronomy department each month.
