Music, food, activities highlight Frankenfest

September 12, 2003

"Frankenfest" will be from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight on the Union lawn as part of East Lansing and MSU's second annual "One Book, One Community" program.

Every year the program coordinators choose a book for the whole community to read and then plan activities that relate to the book. This year's book, which both East Lansing residents and students were encouraged to read, was Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein."

There will be games, crafts, music, food and a special activity area for children. There will be an opportunity to get your picture taken with Sparty and Frankenstein's monster.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Union Ballroom and second-floor parlors.
